We've lost the interest into an own app since most people here mentioned that they prefer an app developed by Adriano

Ok, let me talk about this a bit more. I abandoned the development a couple of months ago because it was very difficult to try to reconcile the interest of all the people who were participating with s

I was convinced to release a version for IPS 4.5 because not everyone will update immediately... so that's it. It should be available later this week. 👍

FYI I'm currently upgrading a 3.x Jobs app that was originally going to be released on the marketplace (I never got around to it). The 4.2.x version should be on the Marketplace though. Although it seems that a few developers have previously made something like this anyway!

App is in development and that's the time to participate with suggestions, etc.

So if you're in, drop a PM so we can talk about the payment of $35 (app marketplace price) then you'll get access to the dev board to test it and make suggestions.

Those who pay now won't need to purchase it on marketplace.

Maybe it can't be done via Pages …

It certainly can. One just sets up a database for the jobs. Categories, filters, fields for maps, dates, links … it’s all there already. If you want, you can also cross-link different databases, e.g. if you want a separate job and company database.

Too limited but it works. With an app you can receive payments, charge comission, fee, set up a expiration for the record, chrge for a renewal, etc., not just "list" a record. But yes, it's an alternative for those who can't afford for the app.

I would be interested in a jobs board app but really what I would be looking for is a way to also show jobs from indeed using their API to supplement listings.

The app that Adriano Faria is developing looks fantastic. Be sure to send him a PM to gain access to the development, and so he can implement your suggestions.

Thanks Adriano for take it, I have some questions before buy it:

how are filled in your app the jobs offered? like place available, type/role of subject researched... and how is the form for acceptance/partecipate?

how them are stored (status complete, stopped for new requirements, open... custom status)?

are available a count of many jobs have each user managed/partecipate, with status of it?

I like when you talk about location filter of the results. This is essentially to search near available jobs.

Yes, that's why I posted here to people join and make suggestions. The app is basically simple yet, with post screen, index, cats, etc. We are discussing features in the dev board right now. But yes, user will have a location field and it is broken into country, region and city to be used on an internal search for jobs, with distance (miles or Km), etc.

Info broken for search:

I like the STATUS idea; will use it.

Yes, a "mini" profile will be available with counts, etc.
