How can I edit the Error Pages

Featured Replies

Hello,

Where can I edit the error pages like .com/board/kdsfgknsdnjagjnsdag ->

Sorry, there is a problem

Cannot find the page you requested

Error code: 2T187/2

Thank you :)

You could use the pages application to replace the default error page with a custom one ( ACP => Pages => Pages => Advanced Settings )

If you are not using Pages, you must edit these language keys:

1. 'Sorry, there is a problem' -> key: "401_error_title"

2. 'Cannot find the page you requested' -> key: "content_err_page_404"

3. 'Error code:' -> key: "error_page_code"

Use text as you want.

I shall try this because they are darn awful arent they?   be nice if we could create a really fabulous error page like some of those 404 pages you see on the web  :rofl:

What do you want to customize?

The error page has a normal theme template you can edit. It’s here:

I edited that to make my error pages a little bit more friendly. ;-)

Thank you @opentype
