How do I upload a test site?

I need a test site to try thiings out so do I just download the whole suite again and upload it via ftp in another folder or something like that?

I just upload a backup of my site in another folder, so it will be like mysite.com/testsite/

You need to change conf_global for the new folder.

As per above post, create a backup of your files and database and use those for your test forum

Also remember to add -TESTINSTALL after the license number in the box

And don't forget to change the domain and disable mails (or use the Debug Email Class ) ! You don't want to send automatically mails from your testboard to your users

;P would be nice to know about some of the testing flags. Or what's recommended to use for test install.

Copy the first stages of backing up, copy/move and editing the config file. As this is a great tutorial for doing so, except you won't be upgrading anything but the other steps apply.
