Posted January 30, 20169 yr I want to to use the s3 file storage option for screenshots and files. Is there any guidance available to set this up, particularly the AWS steps and importantly how to set the correct permissions. I want the files and screenshots to be as safe on s3 as they are on the local server. AWS guidance is confusing and it's difficult to assertain what permissions are needed for it to work securely with IPS. I don't want valuable files to be accessible publically by accident, you only get one chance. AWS access policies etc are tough to interpret for none programmers. Some clarity is needed for this feature on IPS. Edited January 30, 20169 yr by Gravi5tar
January 31, 20169 yr Author A good start would be an example 'Bucket Policy' for file downloads and screenshots...so they're safe and it works as if they exist on the server. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you would like PM me or something and I could take a peek for you.
February 28, 20169 yr I would also be interested in how to setup secure Amazon S3 buckets. If you are going to sell expensive files, they have to be extremely protected, so only IPS would be able to connect and initiate downloads. If anybody has a guide on this, please post. Thanks.
April 16, 20169 yr Author I missed this , thanks so much for making a video . What permissions would you set for the folders and files on S3, do these differ depending on whether it is a screenshot or a paid file? Many thanks.
May 26, 20169 yr @Lindy Unfortunately the steps in the video don't work for me Any idea what is wrong? I did exactly all of the steps in the video...
