Terry - AKA Dumbledore Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Anyone have a copy installed on localhost? I wanting to install on local to look at old skins with the thought of upgrading them to 4.0. I need to have a functioning 1.3 but the sm installer file dies when run.
Woodsman Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Lost mine to a hd failure but to save you from major headaches that may work for you setup an old XP box and use the older version of Wamp or xampp. If you don't have them let me know I will see what I can dig up. This is how I was able to access my old 2.0 - 2.4 installs

Terry - AKA Dumbledore Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Was able to make an xp box but 13 still want install a lot of sql error. Was able to install 236 but I'm looking to find caliblue v5 in 236. I know there was a 13 version which is why I was trying to setup a 13 version.
ssaeth_merged Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 is it xamp you use ? how old is that program take a look at this link and here you will find wamp to maby that program works http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/
AndyF Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 You need (to make it work) an older version of Wamp Server. 2.0h will work. ***not*** 2.0i , I think the messenger will be broken on that version though. Something like the ancient jsas server will work properly. I've removed the attached 1.3 zip from the post above (and the quote) as although it was available at that time for download I do not really think that it is appropriate to have it 'on offer' in the topic as such.

AndyF Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Where are you currently at with this ? Do you have an install that's partly or fully broken ? What software (Wamp etc) are you using to 'power' it ?

What software (Wamp etc) are you using to 'power' it ? The code is complete, the problem is running sm_install the code starts but when the DB is running sql table it keeps dying. Stand by the xp box I made is again hosed, I think the MB is hosed.
Terry - AKA Dumbledore Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Ok reformatted HD and reinstalled xp. used wampserver 2.0h, but no join sm-install starts by freezes.
Dean_ Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Looking forward to this, there's a few themes from eXtremepixels (back in the day, pre 2008) that I'd love to see for IPB, namely the Fusion Skin. I know a few skins got updated from v1.3 and then to v2.1.x. Gone are the good days of IPB v2.1.x!
Terry - AKA Dumbledore Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Still looking for a way to to run 13. xp box was no joy. The dev box is now moving into Win 10 XP keep crashing the HD.
