Search within app, and you lose the app/tab nav

Say you are in Guides and search using top right which defaults to Guides...

Don't see what you want and want to go back to Guides (not to search) why did the tabs and app change? I am now in Activity/Search and have to navigate back. Is it possible to stay in Guides, for this example, and not have the tabs change?

Or <Back To Guides link or similar? The breadcrumb is no use either.
