Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 7, 20169 yr Yesterday, we upgraded our forum software to v4.1.6.1, and now users can no longer start new topics. When they do, they get an error that looks like this: Quote Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18013033 bytes) in /path/to/system/Lang/Lang.php on line 1566 So clearly, the application is running out of memory, but why on that file? And how can we fix it short of increasing our memory allotment (which will almost certainly cost more money)? All other operations and functions (e.g., posting replies on existing topics) seem to be working just fine.
January 7, 20169 yr Have you tried checking System Info in the support section of ACP? Tried reuploading the suite? Tried on the default (unmodified) theme?
January 7, 20169 yr Your memory limit meets the IPS4 requirements, you should submit a support ticket (try to use the support tool first though as it will also disable 3rd party addons that may be the cause as-well).
