Your new title limit on this community

It seems you've activated a title length limit at this community. This really bothers me, as it seems very easy to hit if I want my titles for topics and bug reports to be as precise as I wish.

Could you please increase this limit again?

I've increased it from 50 to 60.

Still pretty restrictive, to get your point across. Just looked at my 3.4 site and it's 150 (IPB default). A little more room would be nice.

It's a title... it's not supposed to be multiple sentences :)

I have seen you had to use punctuating ... in a title... it made me lol

The bug tracker allows more. The forum is more restrictive. I suggest a little more that is all. I don't have any problems in the tracker but when suggesting something often get cut off where it is important.

The punctuation barely fit. ;)

Be aware that you're allowed to increase it as long as you want on your own communities. IPS simply doesn't put emphasis at making the title length longer because it serves no legitimate purpose within the context of the community other than to enhance someone's visible profile while viewing topics or messages. Personally, member titles here on the support forums aren't of interest to me either here on the support forums or within my community. The members of my community enjoy it because it allows them some freedom to enhance their accounts and for bragging rights. While I hope they never get rid of the member 'titles' thing, I don't use it myself.
