Is it possible to connect my wordpress blog with my IPS board through login handlers "external database"?

As much as I love IPS4, the lack of SSO through wordpress and IPB is awful for my community. I should have waited.

Is it possible to go into the login handlers through IPS4 and connect my wordpress site login with my IPS board through external database?

Alright, I managed to connect my WP site with my IPS board using the login handlers through external database.

Now, how can I exactly implement SSO?

For example: I have a user registered on my WP site, but they never signed up for the forum. How do they login on the forum? shouldn't it just create the user?

Curious how you connected your data base.  I am trying to connect my data base through the login handlers and it is not working.  I have my data base hosted on a different server so it is not "localhost" I'm wondering what I'm missing.
