Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted August 26, 20159 yr As an admin I can go into AdminCP to locate the spamming member then press the "Delete Content" button to delete all the spam ever posted by this user. If I log in with ModeratorCP no such function exists. Is there a way I can let my moderators do it? While on this topic, I was wondering why it takes so long for the "Delete Content" to take effect. Last time I tried it took about 15 minutes.
August 26, 20159 yr Hmm... 1. Create a new group - example 'Global Moderators' 2. Add this group STAFF - Administrators 3. Define allowed functions of this group (Members-Staff-Administrators-Edit 'Global Moderators' - be careful, they are many. 4. Your request here 5. Add a Secondary Groups for you selected moderators. 6. Go quietly drinking beer, moderators will work happiness.

Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the interface section in your screenshot. I went to my AdminCP > Members > Groups > Create New Group and can't seem to find anything remotely like your screenshot in all four of the tabs there (Group Settings, Content, Social, Downloads). So I can't "go quietly drinking beer" just yet. I will keep searching though.

August 29, 20159 yr Author You can also activate the deletion option in your spam prevention settings I just realized from your post that it ALREADY defaults to HIDING all content by the spammer once they are flagged as such. I guess it doesn't happen immediately but takes like 15 minutes or something which is why I didn't notice it doing it. I wonder why it has to be delayed so long to take effect? Thanks ipsrocks. 2. 3. Thank you so much Adlago for taking the time to make those screenshots. I was able to reproduce your instructions.
