Master/Slave Configuration

Recommended Posts

as our website is kind of big (10.000 current online users) we are looking for a system which can handle a lot of load. So we were wondering if you support a master/slave database replication?

Best option would be to run Galera Cluster (open source or paid), depending on your writes, you can put haproxy in front of it to point to the primary DB and fail-over to the second master, or just let it LB between them, and you can scale this beyond 2 nodes.

You can also look at running mysql cluster cge, which is an in-memory clustering system and scales out very large and qps.

Whatever you do, run your DB servers on fast, enterprise SSD/nvme drives.
