Previous week and month in View New Content not working as expected when clicking page number

I haven't seen this mentioned on the forum or in the bugtracker in the last months so I'm curious about this issue I'm having and if a solution is planned to be released.

If I choose "Prev Week" in View New Content and click on a page number I don't get returned results from that week but just the present week.
