Heya. I submitted a marketplace addon (it was approved) and I wanted to create a support thread for it but I don't seem to have the ability to do that. I'm assuming that's because I don't have the "contributor" rank?

It looks like you have the contributor badge now, some of those things take awhile to process :)

Awesome! I'm more of a python guy, new to PHP, but I hope to get some cool stuff out in the future.
