stig olsen
Hi,I want to manually set up access to some people for seeing some articles on my site. How can I register them manually, without using their email addresses?I want to send them the login information so that they can log in and see what I have given them permission to see.Best, Stig

Nathan Explosion
Then use a dummy email address for them when registering the account - if you've got a gmail account, you can use that address and add "+something" to the address and it will still route to the account (avoids having to deal with bounce backs if someone emails them via the board)myaccount@gmail.com (main address)myaccount+username1@gmail.commyaccount+username2@gmail.commyaccount+username3@gmail.com
stig olsen
Thanks! Should + be a part of the email I register with? Not any easier solution? Should be possible to create access without faking email addresses.Stig

stig olsen
And why don’t you want to user their addresses?Because I am dummy testing a site and will give a lot of people access to some parts of the site without registrering them. I want to open some of the articles to some people, and some other articles to others. I want to have them look at the articles they have been a part of and I want to provide them with log in details. Different logins Because they will access different articles. Stig That doesn’t answer the question of why you can’t use the real addresses of those people.
stig olsen
I guess I could if I'm sure that no confirmation email is sent to them that address. Can I register with their email address without them being notified? Stig
