Im showing latest forum posts in a block on my frontpage. However, instead of showing the entire title of the post, I only want it to show a max number of characters. How would I go about doing this?

Code is as follows:

There's gotta be an easy solution for this? I tried {wordbreak="$topic->title" length="10"} but that didn't work. 

Hate having to keep bumping this, but I am kinda desperate. Anyone please?

I've now put data-ipstruncate-size="1 lines" in the div that contains the title, but that didn't work..

Try:

{truncate="$topic->title" length="50"}
