Hello, I just setup a 4.0 test installation of my community and so far I like it. I want to enable the sidebar but I cannot find anywhere the option to enable it, can you help me?

That is easy, enter in your forum loggin as administrator. You will see in the left side of your browser an arrow, clic it and then you will see many options (widgets) that you can drag and drop to your sidebar, and also to the top and bottom of your forum.

Maybe this is also usefull for you, if you go in the ACP to your template options, you can decide if you want the side bar at the right side (default) or left side

This is one of the coolest itmes IPS has put in place for us non coding limited techies. I love it!

I must be blind as I cannot see this arrow anywhere?

 

can you walk me through this a bit more please @subzero_mb        I just cant see anywhere to add sidebars

You need to be logged in as the Admin. 

It's not in the AdminCP

It's on your sites page on the left side.

You can arrange blocks in the side bar via drag and drop differently on different pages.

 

 

oh god I just found it thanks @socceronly...... its a little arrow half way down the site....    they said look in your browser which got me confused  lol  

If made no sense to me either at first what I was reading,  and when I found it I was totally shocked.
