Posted May 20, 201510 yr I would think for the sake of branding that an uploaded Logo would be universal unless you manually made a change to a particular theme.However each theme has it's own logo upload ( redundant ).And yet forum icons are not theme based and yet these would probably clash with a particular theme more noticeably then the site logo.
