Is the documentation for SSO at https://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/advanced-and-developers/integration/single-sign-on-sso-r209 applicable for version for as well?

 

I was having issues with method 2, it seems publicSession class isn't present.

SSO doc wasn't written yet.

I've written the SSO documentation for 4.0 - it is undergoing an approval process presently and will be published once that has been done (the review is a little more involved for SSO because it also ties in to the new IPS Connect documentation, as well as updated Login Handler documentation).
