Just migrated to IPB v4.0.1 and finished all background jobs

I have migrated to version 4.0.1 with all backup jobs finished.

My site is hosted on a semi-dedi server where version 3.4.7 worked flawlesly. The forum was super fast.

Now, with version 4.0.1 deployed I can't say that I'm impressed with the speed of it. Sometimes it's OK, sometimes it's slow as hell especially when you click on the Home link button.

On the other hand ACP of 4.0 is very very fast, it is as fast as the old forum was.

Can I do anything to optimize it so the forum is fast at least as it was prior the upgrade..

​Yes, sounds familiar. Version 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 should have already been optimized. I was waiting for the gold version, but also I wanted to upgrade before the official announcement since then it will be rush hour for IP support

Performance improvements are coming soon, as mentioned above there are some in 4.0.2 and there will be more after that also.

Thanks Rhett, good to know that. I have decided to do a full restore of the forum to v.3.4.7 version. Alhtough I really like the new looks and features I had some serious issues with the semi-dedi server and I have maybe rushed with the migration .. New forum version was killing the server..

Also, just FYI, my Calenendar app wasn't working. When you clicked on it it was loading for a minute or two and then it dropped an error.. I think it was this one, but not sure..

I haven't reported anything to IP support because I couldn't wait for the reply as my host was warning me about high server load after the upgrade.

IPS forums are using CDN right? Is that part of the reason why v.4.x is much faster here..?
