Chetan105 Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Hello, I am just about moving from shared hosting to VPS, most of the issues are in control but cannot get the hang of file permissions.In Shared hosting I never had this issue, but on VPS , i run into not write permission, or your do not have permission to do that, unless i chmod to 777.Any cheat sheet to get a hang of this quick ? Rhett Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Your shared hosting was likely running suphp which runs fine with 644&755 perms, where as non suphp will need 777 for writable directories. contact your hosting provider for help with permissions if needed.
