I changed the url in config_global.php to reflect https:// from http:// now all my forum does is crash on a redirect loop error.  I changed it back but since I imagine this is cached, I have no idea how to fix. Any ideas, other then re-installing.

Sure, but does that mean my forum is broken for a while?

I had the same problem and it was solved within 24 hours without any action of me

Thanks IPSRussia, I need my site to do SSL but it got all redirect loop on me when I changed it.

what if you delete/rebuild the full cache via the admin interface?

I don't know how to do that in IPS 4, I did a search but do not see a cache delete option.  Good idea though.
