Flo44 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Hello, it could be a good idea to add a sub forum for SEO on this website to help existing and new client to improve their rank in Google or avoid majorities of error that could bring their forum down in the serps. In addition, a large part of a success of a forum come from seo optimization(or help a lot).
Makoto Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 A good rule of thumb, 90% of SEO is just marketing nonsense. A forum like this would quickly become polluted with self-entitled SEO "experts" spreading pseudo knowledge and possibly encouraging shady practices that will eventually get your websites penalized by Google for trying to manipulate their ranking algorithms. (e.g. keyword stuffing, cloaking)SEO isn't something that you should need to worry that much about, IPS builds their software to follow common SEO principles. As has also been said many times here, content is key. The best advice you can get in regards to SEO is from Google directly. Set up a Google Webmaster's account and see if it offers you any recommendations.
