V4 vs V3.4.x; testing, upgrading

1. Question: why was so much functionality removed from V4 vs V3.4.x, both in the front end and in the ACP?

Or has this not been added yet?

2. Secondly, it is great to have the opportunity to test, but in order to test properly it is a requirement, IMO, to have a site with data, based on an upgrade of an existing site. I don't necessarily want to lose data again, like in the move to 2.x, or to 3.x, or even from one point version to the next, as has happened in those cases.

Currently, it looks like a lot of data is lost in the upgrade from 3.4.7 to 4.0.0, or is that purely because the upgrade routines aren't stable yet?

Would help alot if you'd specify what functionality and what data.

Multi-select topics etc. in moderating mode, multi-select in searches, on the front end and in ACP. That's for starters.

To me that is a definite no-no to me and my team. It means every single move, ban, delete, etc. action has to be done one-by-one, on an individual basis.

I'd need 10x as many moderators and admins.

What do you mean? Works fine for me (except search)

Try selecting a bunch of spammers, or indeed, as you say, in a search.

Try moving, say, 10,000 topics you have searched.
