Will it be possible to have a blank block for the right bar to place HTML in?

I posted this on the preview site the day before it got taken down and not sure if there were any responses so just going to ask again, here. 

First off I love being able to add new blocks to the right hand column and have them in the forums and posts. But I'm wondering if we'll be able to add a blank HTML block so that we can insert ads, widgets, etc. to it? Or even better, can we add blocks from IP.Content to it? This is pretty critical to the design of my site since we're a sports site that features a right hand Twitter roll right now with up-to-date info and rumors and stuff. I also need to be able to choose with member groups can see these types of blocks.

​Awesome! I assume that's a coming feature then right? Because I installed the beta of pages and it didn't add that option for me, unless I wasn't doing it properly.
