How does one preview a topic on iDevices, now that the preview has reverted to the old hover preview (like in older 3.1 versions)?

In 3.3 and 3.4, there was an inline topic preview button, which was instant and worked like a charm. I preferred it on my desktop computer too.

But now that it's gone, I can't preview topics on my iPad?  :(
