Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Warzone Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hello, in 4.0.0 beta you can go Language -> and Translation Tools. In here you can select: Quick translating, BUT this affects only Admins account, no one else! I believe that, if this could be saved to selected language pack translation would be a golden opportunity for IPS to make something that are amazing!!! 1) Quick Translation | On - OffBefore: When enabled, you can click and hold on any word or phrase on your site to quickly translate it for the language you are viewing the site in. This will only affect your account. After: When enabled, you can click and hold on any word or phrase on your site to quickly translate it for the language you are viewing the site in. This will affect the language pack you selected below 2) Select Language to Translate: English (added or copied) Norwegian (added or copied) German (added or copied) Russian If you choose Norwegian, and when you go to the main website, begin translating, it changes the language pack selected to, not only admin account. So translation will be a smuuuuuth and delightful experience for everyone that hates to translate in admin CP. I hope this will be looked at, this is ice-breaking stuff right here!
bfarber Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I am not clear on what you mean. This does not only affect the admin account - it updates the language pack the admin account is using.
Warzone Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Me neither, when i read "This will only affect your account", i think this ONLY affects my account, and not the global language pack admin uses. Buf if it changes the global as you say, you can close this topic
Adriano Faria Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 The text says that the thing to click and hold to translate will only affect the admin account, not everyone's else account. It means that if a user click and hold a language string, he won't be able to translate it. The language will be translated to everyone.
