I am a member of another IP forum and one recurring issue is the amount of notifications that accumulate over the time I'm offline for topics I follow.

My suggestion is that notifications for one followed topic are grouped in one in the notifications tab.

Example: "So-and-so and fifteen others replied to *Followed Topic*"

It could work the same way for liked posts: "So-and-so and twelve others liked a post you made in *topic*"

That would cut down on the amount of repeated notifications and I think would help a lot.
