tppn
I'd love if IPS would release the iPhone source code for community admins to download and deploy on their own. Since it is no longer downloadable on the store, it would allow admins to put it upon themselves to update the app.
tppn
I know IPS doesn't actively monitor this section but it's worth a shot to bump this. c:
Rikki
Unfortunately it wouldn't really be that useful - the app requires specific support from the backend, so if we were to release the source of the app we'd have to continue supporting it in the product itself. Aiwa
Not necessarily. That backend could be custom coded as an add-on. No need for it to be maintained as part of the core product. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that source code either.
bfarber
It also has to route through our servers for the APN stuff, and we aren't maintaining this infrastructure. I'm afraid it is unlikely we will be releasing the iOS app source code.
Management Matt Posted April 2, 2014 Management Share Posted April 2, 2014 It would be simpler to use a HTML5 packager such as PhoneGap or Titanium and write a back-end API to service front end HTML5/JS code.
