Even if a suggestion doesn't make it into 4.0, that doesn't mean we wouldn't consider it for 4.1. :) I don't think people should target a specific version when they make a suggestion - they should post what they think the software should do and we will take that into account, whether we try to squeeze it in right away or hold off on it for a while until we feel it's the right time to implement.
