Tom Jones
Ive been looking for this feature in IPB but could not find it, so i want to suggest it for IPB 4.0 Can there be a setting where no one i mean no one can edit the No.1 Member ID like super admins, and set super admins by editing the config file e.g user id 1, 186 so even with full admin access the admin which are not super admins, cant edit/delete/ban a super admin, i dont want to setup admin restrictions or make a new group and then customize the settings i think this should already be in IPB for security reasons
Rheddy
Uh, do what I did. When I inistalled my forums, I kept my usergroup as the "root admin" user number 1 and then simply created a usergroup for admin that also had access but who wouldn't be able to modify my account details. You can create an additional admin usergroup who has access to the ACP but it needs to be separately because every admin you assign to the default admin group will be a root admin. You can only impose acp restrictions to other admins if they are in a secondary admin usergroup. You cant impose restrictions on a root admin user.
