asked in the file review if this might work in 3.3.4. guess my comment was not approved.

do you think it will work in 3.3.4?

thanks,

brian

Just as a quick heads up, moderators typically will not approve such comments because they are not reviews. Comments you leave in the Marketplace should be relating your experience with the product, so that others may hear about whether it is a good or bad product, not a place to ask questions.

Oh, thanks for that information! I see I have .DS_Store files peppered around the place, and none of the files are related to your hook. I hope they don't do anything?

Anyway, we have a very powerful virtual dedicated server setup with tons of RAM and even so, the Recache All command took a bit of time!

[Edit: just looked in the Tools & Settings: Share Link Services and the Tumblr icon is not present. hmmm ]

[Edit2: thought that perhaps I had caused an issue when I did not allow file overwrite during upload for the .DS_Store files that are in the admin folder so I deleted the hook, and reuploaded the admin folder, approving all file overwrites, and then reinstalled the hook and executed the Recache All command. No joy] Guess this file does not work with 3.3.4.

Hmm. All the hook really does is add a database record for the share link.

Try uploading the files and then going to your AdminCP > System > Tools & Settings > Share Links, and click "Add Service", and then set 'tumblr' as the 'Key'. :)

take backup, install, if fails then uninstall. of everything good then nothing to do, if stuff messed up restore from backup.

just like every other mod/hook install.

it will either work or it won't.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant for the future, is it easy for people to hack through a website if you have an unsupported hook?
