Validation in 4.0

I recently registered on a forum using non-IPB software.

The one thing that they are doing right is their validation screen, which appears right after you register. It leaves a clear message and set of instructions of what a new member must in order to procede before they can post.

Currently, the IPS validation method isn't that effective - even when using the optional validation hook. My forums are always plauged with people living in validation pergitory.

I hope this idea finds support for 4.0.

As a side note, I also like the "Resend Activation Email" and the "Change Email" options.
