My forums keep going down . My host says that the index.php is causing to many process and I need to find a developer.. Well I have no clue were to look . Is there anyone that can optimize my forums so they can actually run correctly? If needed I will pay .. If anyone will please help me. Add me on skype. Helix.Seven

More information please. Dedicated server, VPS, shared hosting? If you're on a $10 a month hosting plan it won't be enough for an IPB forum.

index.php is called on every page, so it could be a bot attack or many items, look at your users online, look for many from the same IP etc...

Host Gator VPS Level 4 - $70 something a month . They confirmed the load issues are with my php scripts that load each time my site is accessed .

I've had the same problem on 3 different hosts .. They said I could upgrade to a dedicated and it would not help these loads .

I have read all this :( I am no developer , I can barely use cpanel .. I am requesting someone to help me on skype .. I honestly will pay anything .. I doubt its a DDoS attack because this has been happening for a very long time... My web developer recently passed away and i'm in a really bad position until I find a new one.. I have not slept in 3 days .. I don't know what to do..

$70 a month would get you a reasonable hosting solution here with IPS. You could then put your feet up and let them look after things.

All I know is that its something in the scripts that makes my loads go through the roof.

Is there anyone that you know that would take a look at the files and panel to see if anything can be done to solve the issue?
