Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Rainer Lischka_419480 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hi guys, the rich text editor is great, nevertheless, it is only possible to insert images by clicking on "My Media" and choose an already uploaded image. Is it possible to integrate an image uploader in the editor that can directly upload images from the client via ftp? Cheers
Rainer Lischka_419480 Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Thanks bfarber for your answer. So there is currently no extension available for the editor? Is it possible to integrate another rich text editor that has this feature? Or do I have to implement an uploader for myself? Best regards.

From what I remember reading from Matt ( I think ) , its tricky changing out the editor with another currently.
Michael Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 If you click on the More Reply Options button, you go to the full editor that has the attachments section below it, you can upload images there.
bfarber Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Yes, you can already upload images - you just can't do it from the "fast reply" at the bottom of the topic. As Michael said, below the fast reply editor at the bottom of the topic click on "More Reply Options" and the attachment uploading is available on this new page. With 4.0 we are simplifying this dramatically, but the general functionality does exist now.
Rainer Lischka_419480 Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Ok, thanks guys, I'll try to include this functionality in the editor. Best regards
