mark2012
This is one amazing application, was looking for something similar instead of letting members to post in a suggestion topic!

Spanner
Do you have ioncube on server? I can't reproduce this error
wmarcy
Nope, no ioncube, I avoid it.
Sonya*
Ioncube? I think that you definitely should add this to the description of the app. I personally would not buy any app where I cannot look into code. Because of bugs that are very common in 3rd party apps and because I would like to see the code quality.
AndyF
It *should* (required) be on the description, that's partly my fault for not examining a core file which I normally do anyway. In this case I just examined the description checked it installed OK and tried some sample data etc. Its been temporarily unapproved until the description is updated by the author to reflect this. wmarcy
Needs IonCube? I need a refund in that case, as ioncube will not be installed on my servers.
AndyF
Needs IonCube? I need a refund in that case, as ioncube will not be installed on my servers. I've made a note of this. Please allow us a bit of time (typically 48hrs) as I need to pass the 'request' to Management as they handle the financial transactions. Thank you for your patience. Spanner
IonCube is free and all hostings are installed it for free. Ioncube? I think that you definitely should add this to the description of the app. I personally would not buy any app where I cannot look into code. Because of bugs that are very common in 3rd party apps and because I would like to see the code quality. Nexus is also encoded. I encode all my paid files because some people rewrite some part of my applications and sell as own. If you want to check code quality you can download free hooks and check them
AndyF
To be fair, I have absolutely no problem with an author encoding their works as they see fit. The slight 'problem' we had in this case was it simply was not stated on the descriptor (required) , The author very promptly updated their file description and it was re-approved.@wmarcy, A MP moderator will be in touch later via PM. Sonya*
Nexus is also encoded. This is exactly the reason why Nexus the only IPS app I have not bought. If you on holiday, noone can provide a patch or quick solution for the issues in your app, right? Your client are fully depended from your availability. And I am a security freak - I just need to know that the code is safe. I will never install *something* on my server not knowing what exactly this *something* does. As AndyF said, this is your good right to protect your code. But be sure the files can be decoded easily by "evil" people. @ΑndyF, just as suggestion. It would be perfect if demos for the apps would be in English and you encourage programmers to provide them in language that all people here understand ;)
wmarcy
Yes, I too do not run code on my servers that I can not verify personally, and it is also why I have not bought Nexus also. I understand it is an authors right to do as they will wit their code, but I unfortunately can not trust my community to just anyone either. If you decide to offer it unencoded, I will be more than happy to repurchase it. Thanks!
Sonya*
I would buy it too if it were not encoded. OFF Topic: By the way, @Spanner, you make really good and useful apps. But there is an issue with the presentation of them in IPS Marketplace, imho. You give the description in Polish first. I think that only very small part of people here understand this language. People who are in this community do understand English. All of them. Or they were not here. I would delete Polish from the descriptions entirely and make only English description. Do not scare your potential clients ;) Second thing that I've written in comment, - make clean English demos for all your paid apps. - create user content in English and not Polish as well. - do not provide discussion links to your Polish board (they are useless for the most of us) - make clean English screenshots for all your apps. I am convinced your sales will boost if you do not use your native language on this board. You can make a link to your store http://www.ipsbeyond.pl/store/ in IPS Marketplace. It would be enough for Polish people. But for the majority here, in this board - it still looks like they would buy something non-English ;) This is just as suggestion. From my personal experience as half-Russian, half-German living in Germany I know that Europeans are always scared if they see signs and characters they cannot understand :D and become suspicious even if there is no reason for it. This is just a human psychology.

Telemacus2
I'm with Sonya here. I just read about the "Casting" app. It would take a hieroglyphics translator to figure out what that one does, and this is only a little better! I'm not trying to criticise the mod, I just wish I knew what exactly they did, because then maybe I'd buy them!
Spanner
On http://www.devipb.spannerdev.pl you can see English demo. I wrote today entry on marketplace blog about this app. After reading it if you still don't understand then I will try to explain you app.
Sonya*
Spanner, the user content on the demo it not English. Look, I have marked with red the parts that I cannot understand: I am also not able to register to test it out as registered user: Just not able to type special characters from the Captcha to bypass a challenge. :(

Sonya*
Done, sorry, You you didn't have permission to vote What about users that still do not have permissions to vote? There should be user friendly message that they are not allowed to vote and not an server error message  There is also no possibility to re-vote or delete my vote. What if I accidentally clicked on Yes, but wanted No (they are very close to each other, so this can happen often), no reverse procedure? Update: have also added in comments that following feature is pretty senseless. As users do not become notifications about new votes or comments on ideas. See comments to your Test Idea.
