This modification will allow you to have a hierarchical structure for your forum and threads.

On default installations IPB identifies forum and thread sections as following :

Forums : domain.com/forum/id-forumname/
Threads : domain.com/topic/id-threadname/

This modification changes this and allow you to have any desired format you want. The default format that is shipped within the modification is designed to match the most used vBSEO URL format.

Forums : domain.com/forumname/
Threads : domain.com/forumname/id-threadname.html

However with customising furlTemplates.php that is shipped with this modification , you'll have ability to customise this further to your choice.

It also has a built in stop world filter that is also configured to match default vBSEO stopwords.

This modification is mainly targeting users who convert their boards from vBulletin + vBSEO combination or want to have better Forum Hierarchical structure power users.

With this modification you can switch your vBulletin + vBSEO combination to IPB with NO indexed thread or forum URL loss.

Once installation is completed , you'll be required to run a CLI tool to build thread and forum seo titles and once you flush your cache , you'll be good to go.
Running CLI tool is a requirement at the moment , if you are not sure what it is please don't purchase this modification at the moment.

CLI Tool requirement is not needed anymore. Installation/Upgrade will auto populate the titles

This is the second time where someone asks screenshot for a SEO add on. Here it is http://d.pr/i/eDgS

Our board is not live yet , at least the conversion is not completed yet.

mate.. what about second time.. you didn't like it when some one asking it.. so you think if SEO addon doesnt need screenshoot(s) ? how about admin setting panel, or just everything hard coded ? or any custom setting needed ? do you even say about it ? at least give us live demo... for $66.50 ? worth it have live demo isn't it ?

You're taking the wrong road here.

I am not Adriano because i am not really interested anyone purchasing our mods or not. We are not releasing these modifications to make money. We are releasing these to assist community.

If a vBulletin/vBSEO owner switches to IPB , all their indexed URL's will be lost. It will take at least 3-6 months for them to regain their traffic and on some cases they will loose their spots against competitors.

This modification resolves this issue. Non lost 3-6 month traffic will cost even a mid size board 10-20x more then what this modification asks for. I even clearly mentioned on the marketplace item itself , this modification is designed for people switching from vBulletin/vBSEO combination to IPB.

I will not suggest this mod to established IPB sites , unless up to today they were keeping all their board private and decide to take advantage of new hierarchical status.

We release things that other boards may need and if we have 3-4 license sell , be it , it will just reduce my development costs a bit.

Though i now see why Marcher and Stoo were warning me.

Too many people who knows everything are really pushing people away. maybe it is best for us not to release anything as a NON screenshot for a SEO add on caused me to spend time responding things.

Fine. Just remove the price tag and be happy so. No one is doubting that your product may be Eighth Wonder of the World or the APP of The Year.

You are charging $66 for your product, which is ALMOST one and half year of IPS renewal/support and you are already stressed out with people here asking for screenshots ?!? Too soon.

Anyway, 2 other modders already warned you. So here goes one more: if you can't handle it, just leave it.

Sad but true.

We are a company , we are not doing charity work. We are spending big money for developing these modifications and if anyone wants to take advantage using them , they will have to pay for it.

2 other coders warned me about the unprofessional level many license owners had on this forum , i didn't believed them but they were right.

See the bold section is exactly what i mentioned on the Developer Burnout thread. You have no idea how to value a product.

This modification worths more then IPB license for a board that switches from vBulletin/vBSEO combination to IPB.

My board makes the amount asked for this product in couple hour. You say this mod is Overprised :smile: However fora board that will not loose rankings to a competitor , this mod is cheap. If this was on marketplace , i would pay 1-2k for the license.

But anyway thanks for proving me that most of you have no idea on how business is managed and handled.

If i don't release anything more , the only people who will loose are the license owners and IPB community.

And a handful people will cause that .

If you read again you'll see that I didn't say your product is overpriced. Already saw skins costing $50! Yes, $50. Honestly, to me it is funny... I NEVER will buy a skin that costs $50!

Users can ask their questions , but asking screenshot where what this mod does has nothing to do with a screenshot is different.

A screenshot will not give you anything as this mod does nothing regarding visual. If anyone asks a questions , i would gladly explain them what it does or not. But if you come here and post "No screenshot for 66$ no way" , you'll get a very similar response from me as that is not for learning , that message is directly for bashing.

I will update instructions on next version , i realised they were not perfect also.

In order to customise furlTemplates please find

admin/applications_addon/other/greenseo/extensions/furlTemplates.php

Two sections that needs to be customised are labeled as greenseoTopicIn & greenseoForumIn

our section on both of these variables are the place to set the format you want to use :

Example :

	'greenseoTopicIn'     => array( 'app'		      => 'forums',
							  'allowRedirect' => 1,
							  'isPagesMode'   => 1,
							  'out'           => array( '#showtopic=(.+?)(#|&|$)#i', '#{__title-1__}/$1-#{__title-2__}.html$2' ),
							  'in'            => array( 'regex'   => '#^/(.+?)/(d+?)-(.+?).html#i',
												        'matches' => array( array( 'showtopic', '$2' ) ) ) ),

The out variable states #{__title-1__}/$1-#{__title-2__}.html$2

{__title-1__} is used for Forum Name the thread is located at

$1 is used for thread id

{__title-2__} is used for Thread name

$2 is used for the IPB sort options ( new post , last post and other combinations including pagination )

Lets assume you want to have

forumname/threadname-thredid/

the regex should be changed to 

	'greenseoTopicIn'     => array( 'app'		      => 'forums',
							  'allowRedirect' => 1,
							  'isPagesMode'   => 1,
							  'out'           => array( '#showtopic=(.+?)(#|&|$)#i', '#{__title-1__}/#{__title-2__}-$1/$2' ),

Note , please also keep in mind that the second regex ( in ) also needs to be configured

Some people might think $66 is a high price for this mod, but when you have a huge forum, and you're converting from vBSeo/vB and you do not really want to lose your search rankings, then yes some people will be happy to pay $66 for this mod. It would save them paying hundreds for a similar mod via a custom job.

A screenshot won't really show what the Mod does, screenshots of the admin cp pages etc might make some people happy but when they're just out right rude you know you don't want them as a customer (imo).

I installed it on my main forum after testing on my test forum. It is rewriting but it is not quite complete. Here is an example

It is putting unknown as the forum id

You don't have mod_rewrite options for IPB enabled. Please enable them through Admincp > System > System Settings > Friendly Url Features

Serious? Do you really expect people who are not coders to understand this? I purchased this because I did convert my vB board to IPB and I did have vBSEO.

This modification has no intension of becoming a vBSEO. vBSEO had a huge team behind which created their success and they were a software company. We are not a software company , we are releasing modifications that we develop for ourself . If you need assistance regarding customising and fitting your URL structure , i'll be gladly assist , however we don't have any plans to make url customisation more easier.

Additionally my expertise with vBSEO over 6+ years clearly thought me that if you allow users to easily customise their URL rewrite method , they will continue to play with those settings which will hurt them in long run. That's why it is best to make this customisable as hard as possible.

Again if you can let me know your previous URL format with vBSEO , i can gladly assist you further .

If you also need assistance regarding installation , please supply me temporary sftp and admin panel access via PM and let me handle that for you.

wow listen to the way you treat people. if you don't care then don't sell it pretty simple. There is no reason to get nasty to people not everyone is a coder and understands all this. You should always talk to people with respect will get you alot further. Its things like this that are making so many people leave IPB. Pretty sad really.
