Legeam
I bought this but I can't get it to work on any of the skins, including the default. I have recached and this didn't work. The basic issue I am having is with Captions and Pagination. Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing: As you can see, there is no caption visible. Also instead of "dots" for pagination, there are the numbers 1 and 2 for the active slides. Here is what this slide looks like in my ACP settings
pezza
Apologies for this issue, it appears the hook was not importing the CSS like I thought it would. If you re-download the file there's now an extra step in the installation. Don't worry about completing any of the other steps, you simply need to follow the part where it says 'we need to add the css'. Once you've done that, everything should be working again. Any more issues, let me know :)
Legeam
Thank you for the fix. However, this fix only addressed the captions issue. The pagination "dots" are now gone. I actually prefer this, but it's not the way it was intended. The default size of the slider is 980px. If I raise this to 1300px, nothing happens (this was not an issue before the fix). I only want the slider to show on my board index. This setting is not working at all. If I put it on "Global", it shows everywhere. If I set it to "no", it shows nowhere. pezza
Hi all, I've taken notes from all the issues reported and have been working on this from the second I woke up this morning. I have released an update and hopefully everything should now be 100% working and bug free. Unfortunately, you will have to remove the html edits you made before and insert the new ones as stated in the updated documentation. I apologize for the inconvenience but all issues that have been mentioned are now dealt with. Don't worry about uploading any files and installing the hook again. :)
WOFman
This works on all the skins not just the simples right? If so is there a way to assign it to certain skins?

Yes you can assign it to certain skins. All details are in the documentation :)
WOFman
This feature was the only reason I purchased the simple skin. Unfortunately I don't like the simple skin enough to make it my default.
ZakRhyno
This feature was the only reason I purchased the simple skin. Unfortunately I don't like the simple skin enough to make it my default. Looks like a little coding have to be on your side to make the slider work with your skin. As all skins are all different it would be hard to code something for everything. But he did something that got you most of the way there.
Final-Alpha
Can you make in your demo a slide with a link, so we can test it :)
WOFman
OK, question. I had an idea in the middle of the night last night. Is there a way to get this to replace the header on the skin. I would like to have this positioned over to the upper left in place of the header image.
AlexWebsites
I bought this before reading. I wanted to include a slider on a ip.content page that I use as a main page. This would be good if it could be made into a hook that you could just place a variable within a template and ip.content. Is it possible to run this in an ip.content block? I created a simples.css until I realized it was a skin...lol. Also, why don't you call the javascript as a file instead of all that code before the </head>
pezza
Can you make in your demo a slide with a link, so we can test it  Sure. All that happens is the entire image becomes clickable to a URL that you set. OK, question. I had an idea in the middle of the night last night. Is there a way to get this to replace the header on the skin. I would like to have this positioned over to the upper left in place of the header image. Yup. You can position it wherever you want to. You just need to paste the html into a different position. I bought this before reading. I wanted to include a slider on a ip.content page that I use as a main page. The code in the installation page is for if you wanted to have your forum as a main page. If you click on the 'more info' tab in the documentation you will see that there is some code if you don't want to have the slider on the forum page. Simply create a blank HTML block, copy that code in, and put the block wherever you want your slider in IP.Content. Looks like a little coding have to be on your side to make the slider work with your skin. As all skins are all different it would be hard to code something for everything. But he did something that got you most of the way there. I was a bit confused by this, but just to confirm, this mod works in EVERY skin :) Hope that helps everybody out. Anymore questions, please fire away :)

Or can you make a js file in ip.content and use it? Also if you are not using the simples skin and have no simples.css....where does the css go? Also if you are not using the simples skin and have no simples.css....where does the css go? Do everything the same apart from the code for the actual slider. This presumes you are still using the ipb wrapper. Don't worry about what you call the CSS, you can call it anything :)
Wasabi Ice Cream
Sweet, got everything working now. Thanks again for this awesome add-on. I've got a few suggestions that could make it even better: How about a "Quick-add" feature? Something to quickly add a new slide in slot-1, and automatically bump current slides over a slot. Uploading images straight from the ACP would also make things quicker and easier.

JimmyJo
taking Threads from a Forum with a (clickable) News Headline would be a great feature too
ZakRhyno
Would you put in more type of transition effects between slides? That is what I would like more of. But I'm off to buy it right now still! :)
