This hook allows members to use their own ads code. They won't use yours.

I think this is really similar to what I was looking for. Are you saying that I can have three ad blocks and a specific user group can have another three ad block? Not that I really want 6 ads on one page just trying to understand how it works.

Thanks

Yes, that's it. As far as I know, Google restricts to 3 same ads code. Different ads code is allowed.

Even if they somehow monitor the use of more then three ads per page, I would be willing to give up ad space to specific users. The would consider these specific users as contributors. They are good writers, and it would be a way to entice them to write on my board, without having to pay them. This could serve to increase my content quality, there by increasing my members or readers.

To solve the problem on not know how to make this work, I was working on a workaround idea, which used both Nexus and Tutorials. This hook would be a lot better since it removes me from having to manage payouts.

I am actually trying to sell the idea to a couple of writers and one is certainly interested. Are there settings I can use to filter or monitor where they install ads? If not I can write something in my terms of use, if they violate, I would cancel the agreement. I just thought that settings may be useful.

Thanks

One last question, can they use any ad codes, this is not limited to google ad sense is it? One writer, I know of writes for a couple of organizations who might sponsor her ad space. I would like to let her know she can contact them and see if they will sponsor.

If possible i hope to have a little suggestion (with file edit if needed) to display your ads only in first post.

If user have an ads in all post is almost the same as to put banner in signature. (with excepion of adsense)

Only in 1th post (as option) can be very interesting also as a incentive for users to open new topics* and no only spam 1000 reply just to improve banner display

:)

* admin can decide to enable your hook only in specifics forums, with new topic in approval moderation, to allow only a good quality level of content
