This modification will allow you to integrate Mailchimp to IPB board.

With defining Mailchimp API you will be presented with your existing mailing lists on Mailchimp account. You can choose which mailing lists you want to tie to your system.

System supports double verification.

Users will have ability to sign up Mailing list through Registration or their User Control Panel.

Hello !

Thanks for this app, it could be really useful for me. Is it normal, if i try to access to app with ACP "other applications" menu, to have this message : error system [#404] incorrect_furl

Maybe it could be more effective to not display app into "other applications" in this case ?

Otherwise, all working good for me : if a user is already on my mailchimp list, boxes are checked. If not, he can check box in order to subscribe to my mailing lists.

In case he has not subscribe yet to a mailing list, he has to confirm subscription via an email from mailchimp.

Three suggestions :

Is it possible to get "mailing lists" shortcut directly into user windows with My Profile, My Content, Messenger, etc. I think most of my members are not friendly with deep submenu like My Profile>My Settings>My Mailing lists

When user unsubscribes mailing lists, he can read same message like when he subscribes. However, for subscribe, he has to confirm subscription, to unsubscribe, he has not. It is possible to add a specific message for theses two situations ?

Is it possible to force a user to subscribe when he create account ? or to propose to him to check boxes ?

I'm also getting multiple errors on 138 when viewing the mailing list through the profile editor. Thank you so much for putting this together! I hope it works out!

Not top priority but maybe a possibility , we will check this

When user unsubscribes mailing lists, he can read same message like when he subscribes. However, for subscribe, he has to confirm subscription, to unsubscribe, he has not. It is possible to add a specific message for theses two situations ?
This is how mailchimp functions , this plugin doesn't alter the way how mailchimp functions at all.

Is it possible to force a user to subscribe when he create account ? or to propose to him to check boxes ?

i am thinking about some performance improvements and somehow connecting the mailing lists to user fields to improve the 2 api call on each load. That will also give ability to choose those fields required to be filled on registration and you can also define those settings clicked on default field configuration if i am not mistaken. But we have couple critical projects on our hand that needs to be completed so that we can finalise our conversion. Once those projects development is completed , i will get these on development schedule.

Just bought this

All my users recieved bulk mail via the built-in IPB feature, how do i subscribe these to the mailchimp list without having to send a confirmation e-mail again?

Of course i do respect opt-outs, but its around half my users who already said yes to e-mails and don't want to start a new list all over.

regards

claus

The problem is MailChimp won't let you import lots of subscribers without the double-opt-in confirmations, they'll most likely suspend your account.

double_optin

optional -

flag to control whether a double opt-in confirmation message is sent, defaults to true.

Abusing this may cause your account to be suspended.

OK, makes sense.

But how du I import all those members who said yes to bulk e-mail earlier into my mailchimp list (Or rather, I know how to import, but how do i get the info from IPB?)

And, if I import my users to the mailchimp list, will they be syncronised with my users in IPB?

I just purchased this plugin. I am presented two separate files to download, which one do I use?

You should use the latest released version. Each version is correctly tagged within files so you can revert back to any version any time you want.

I still get the following after clicking the mailing list button under settings after upgrading to the new version:

It looks as though that file hasn't been updated (the loop is no longer on that line).

Please check under 'manage apps' that MailChimp is version 1.0.2.
