jackflash Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 If I download the 3.4.2 IPB today, do I still need to apply today's patch?
Ryan Ashbrook Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 No. The patch is included within the IP.Board 3.4.2 download. If you downloaded IPB before that post was made, then yes, you would need to download it separately.
Adriano Faria Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 The most annoying bug of 3.4.2 ( http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/bugs.html/_/ip-board/delete-first-row-in-quote-r40935 ) isn't on this patch! :)

Look see... Deleting just the first letter of the quote... jackflash Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 No. The patch is included within the IP.Board 3.4.2 download. Ryan Ashbrook Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I thought that was the case as it has been in the past - just checking. If we publicly announce a patch, then 99% of the time it is included within the download before the announcement is made. The ones that are not, are the ones stored within our Knowledge Base (unless stated otherwise, of course). :)
bfarber Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 We couldn't include every fix, and some fixes are more involved than others (such as the quote one you linked to - it requires recompiling ckeditor files and then including multiple specific files in the patch). We are working hard on 3.4.3 and maintenance releases for our apps, where that bug and many others will be resolved.
den-chu Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I found minor error in the patch (). File admin/sources/base/core.php is in wrong place admin/sources/classes/base/core.php . So core.php is not overwriten and changes does not apply.
Management Matt Posted February 18, 2013 Management Posted February 18, 2013 Thanks, I've fixed the zip.
WestTac1 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Installed the patch. Now the delete button isn't working, and neither are the issues that were supposedly fixed. I tried reinstalling, checking the files, etc.....and nothing. Seems with every 1 upgrade, it creates 10 more problems.
AVSIM.com Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Maybe try updating to 3.4.3? We did upgrade to 3.4.3 and the delete key issue lives on.
Grimace` Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Check that it works on the default skin, if you still need help submit a support ticket in your client area.
Wolfie Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 We did upgrade to 3.4.3 and the delete key issue lives on. Make sure you clear your browsers cache and then do a hard refresh.
bfarber Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 We just recently fixed a handful of issues related to using the delete key in the editor. Please try clearing your cache and then testing in our Test Posting forum to see if you can still reproduce the problem. If not, the fix will be included with 3.4.4, otherwise please submit a bug report with details.
