Knowledge base and documentation redirects

It's the second time in just a few months that you've changed the urls to documentation and knowledge base. You do know these urls are used to link to knowledge base items and documentation articles in forum posts, bug tracker comments etc. here and linked to from external sites, right? So WHY do you NOT set up proper redirects when you do these things? It is beyond me.
