Looking for mods for IPB 2.3.6

Recommended Posts

Hello all :)

Can anyone show me where to find modifications for a 2.3.6 board ?

Many years back i had quite a collection but i've lost them :( I've now decided to start my forum again and only have a license for 2.3.6

I'm looking for a shoutbox and used to use Deans D23 shoutbox plus any other mods that might be handy.

Also without starting another thread or support, does anyone know how much it would cost to get a new board license for 3.3.x

Thanks in advance

Assuming you have a standard license.... All you need to do is renew your license and you'd get download access and you could upgrade your board. Submit a ticket to account assistance and they can help you out.

If you wanted a second license,

Good luck finding versions of mods that work for 2.3.6... No where I can think of you'd find them short of finding a mod you like and contact each author individually for what version worked for 2.3.6, if any..

I'd recommend you upgrade to at least 3.3.4 and use current mods.

Thank you for the reply Aiwa.

I now see that IPB comes with many extras and other addons, Would it just be the latest version i would need ? I never had the extras last time like the blog or gallery etc

I just want a nice tidy forum :)

Thanks for taking the time to help aswell

IPB doesn't 'come' with Blog / Gallery / Content... Those are apps that integrate into IP.Board at an added cost. If all you need is the forum, then that's all you need a license for. No reason in purchasing Blog or Gallery if you don't have a use for them.

If your goal is to upgrade your 2.3.6 forum to 3.3.x, or newer, I'd recommend you submit a ticket to the account assistance department and let them know what you're trying to do and they can help you out... I don't know what license you have, and procedures might be a bit different depending on the license... Same with renewal costs... I would hate to tell you the wrong thing.
