Obviously the font used to display them in the topic view doesn't support Greek letters. Where is that defined to choose another font? I found <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Didact+Gothic&v2' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> in globalTemplate and changed it to another Google font that supports Greek letters, but obviously I have to define somewhere to use that new font instead.
