Links Directory [IP.Board 3.4]

Hi,

We have recently purchased this and installed it.

A member has submitted 2 links and when going in to the moderation queue and clicking approve the following error (minus my server info) has appeared.

Warning: Missing argument 2 for linksFollow::sendNotification(), called in /usr/www/xxxxxxxxxxxx.com/forums/admin/applications_addon/other/links/sources/classLinks.php on line 180 and defined in /usr/www/virtual/xxxxx.com/forums/admin/applications_addon/other/links/sources/classWatchedContent.php on line 203

On clicking back and retrying to approve the link it goes through without the error the second time.

I bought this very shortly before JLogica took it over from BrandonP, when I was still on IPB 3.1.4. I've got a problem going back to the old original IP.Links which still exists after uninstallation of IP.Links and upgrading to 3.3.4. I've not installed any other version, let alone this latest version, because of it.

Rather than repeat myself, please see http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/372425-help-how-to-uninstall-left-over-plugins-from-old-apps-mudd-and-iplinks/#entry2334537 where I tried to ask how to deal with it. I had some helpful replies (mainly from Marcher, thanks!), but haven't yet had a 100% answer to my topic, so I fear I've no option but to ask here on how to get rid of the final remnants of the original IP.Links so that I can finally install this new version.

I'd be truly grateful for any help please, as otherwise I daren't install this version.

TIA

Hi. Could you contact me? I´m requesting a custom mod for links directory. I´ve posted in your tracker, but no response. I´am aware of the custom work policy.

At the moment I am working on a task for my big project (non-ipBoard) and Awards is being worked on I have read your Tracker item but as to when I can actually do anything about planning the task is unknown, sorry but I am just back from a project meeting and I have five pages of tasks that I need to specify and then allocate to the contractor team (apart from my tasks) my workbench is buried in notes, api docs, lists and boring stuff like invoices to put into the accounts system.

Some... things.
I am *not* Jlogica, I will *not* maintain a stunted copy of this app freely. As far as I am concerned, Links Free is EOL.
I will however add many features repeatedly requested, and fix bugs on this submission, see Roadmap for existing known features needed, add to my tracker any further requests.

Oh thank goodness! And I can't think of a better dev to take this over! (well, maybe one or two equal, but not better :D)

Please, pretty please please please... May I refer back to http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/371366-download-links-directory/?p=2338340 as JLogica left the building before there was any chance of support.... All I need is to get these ruddy old bits left over from the old IP.Links out of the report centre so's I can finally install this version...

TIA

Please feel free to pm me or send a support request to the links department with access infos.

For reference, all i'm going to do is drop any dead columns/rows in your database from the old links.

From your topic on this matter, it appears to me you likely have more remnants, specifically columns added to your groups table were not removed properly.

I don't know if this is a known issue, or if it's how it should be (odd as it is) or if I should report it in the tracker. I've just (finally!) installed Links and am adding links whilst the Links Directory is supposed to be "offline" and whilst members and guests et al aren't supposed to be able to access it at all according to the member group's tab. But all the new links I'm adding are visible in View New Content as the "Links Directory" tab is visible to anyone and everyone.... However, if someone clicks on the list of new Links (all 2 pages of them in VNC so far), they get the "Ooops" error message.

I've also got what looks like background text in individual links, as below:

My Firebug on Firefox seems broken with blank tabs and whatnot, so I can't try to figure out what it is. As it's broken, I also can't see where I might be able to increase the font size of the text description when viewing the link itself. Would there be some way I could increase the font size please without having to do so via the editor for each individual link?

Ah... it's the text from the footer code box in the Ad Code Integration. In Firefox on my Mac, it slips behind the Links boxes. On other browsers (eg: Chrome), the footer text goes beneath the "Hits" box (in a column?) and may continue under all of it depending on how much text there is in the description. Eg:

The same thing happens with the default template (in 3.3.4).

I've got the code in the Ad Code Integration in divs. If I wrap the divs in good old fashioned table tags, it fixes it (!?!). EDIT - But only if there's an image in the first div. The footer ad generally only displays properly if there's an image in it.
