Thank you. That did it!

1.Is it possible to change the url xxx.com/links to xxx.com/somethingdifferent ?

2.Is it possible to link this mod with nexus? I would love it if my customers could pay to be "featured" affiliate?

Why not add group? Purchase through Nexus, promote the group on purchase and add new category called "Affiliates" and allow those groups to be able to submit in that category?

Sorry if that's not what you are asking or looking for. Just suggesting.

Thank you for your tips. Any idea about the url?

Jlogica would be best person to answer that Q. I believe FURL template change would be required and some code edits?

In the mean time you can use 301 redirect using .htaccess. I haven't tried it but I think it should work fine for main URL.

As mentioned you would need to change the furl handling, note that following that root will cause you to lose any customisations when a new version is release (you would need to re-do them each time).

If you are handy with .htaccess (again as mentioned) you could do silent link redirection but the links inside the system would still be generated and displayed as per the furl system.

Hey Jenolan,

Got a quick suggestion. Would you be able to add some hook points for the Links Directory? Preferably in the linkView? Need one or a couple to accomplish integrating my Global Ads mod into it to allow User Ads for Link Submitter. Need it around the links sidebar area so I can add a sidebar there without having to create a hook point or edit the template bit. Not sure if you have added any in your newest versions; I'm still using the free version 4.0.0 unencoded.

I have reduced the price of Links, those people who purchased for the $25 price if you want when I add Awards here on the Marketplace I will give you are free copy as a thank you. The price reduction has a reason but it is secret

My plan is that Awards will get a spruce up then it will be trying to review all the feature requests for the three 'big' applications.

Cheers!

Hi JLogica,

I'm glad to see the price reduction. Does this (Paid) Links Directory utilize the IonCube encoding? When I tried using the the free version, it bungled up my database since I didn't have the IonCube encoding installed and I don't want to cause same problem with your paid version.

I don't see how it could do anything to the DB, the code simply issues an exception with the no loaders found. The paid version in non encoded. I may try and go back to unencoded for the free one too once I work a few things out.

Although you can select the element to sort on for each category (eg date submitted, link title etc) it doesn't seem possible to select ascending or descending. The default for link title seems to be Z -> A and I'd like it to be A -> Z if possible. Have I missed an option or could you advise on how I might be able to make an edit to achieve this? It's only for one category rather than a links-wide thing.

Regards, Steve

When posting, as always, you know what you are writing but if you leave off bits of what you are wanting it is easy to start talking about different things. I have raised a Tracker with your request.

First off, great app

Thanks JLogica, that works well for users to set their preferences manually. No way to set it in ACP along with the option to have them ordered by title then? Or a way to do this by editing the code (per category)?

Is there any information on how to force it to sort alphabetically A->Z? Or would I need to wait until a new version? By category or app wide doesn't matter.
Thanks

Doubt it ... the only way would be a code hack. So far as the next update I am working on ipBoard v3.4 comparability for my stuff that will be the priority for a while until all done. Some are easy some ... not! :baby:
