Dmacleo
this run off timer or something? does not seem to work for me. I am loading shouts from DB and not cache (using apc cache) if that matters.

It hooks into the add and update download hook points.
Dmacleo
its acting like its not seeing those settings, going to remove/reinstall to make sure. thanks MJ
AndyF
It does work. :) I initially had a slight problem with it but its easy to misread include as exclude or vice-versa with the groups, so read the setting description with care. :) , I cannot remember offhand which was around it is now. Dmacleo
that was exactly it, I was so used to checking to INCLUDE I messed up there. my bad, sorry guys.
Michael.J
Yeah thought that might be a problem, I'll see how switching exclude/include next version, just so it's more intuitive.
Dmacleo
TBH it was totally my fault, just got into a habit of doing it one way that even though I read the description it did not sink in. it was a senior moment... :)
Michel36
Heyz goodmorning , This is a great hook ,but when the hook is enabled it will post not a support topic after adding a download. When i disabled the hook i must adding the same download again for the support topic. Is this a bug or did i something wrong ? Thank you , Nice day and greetings , Michel. Azoun
Doesn't seem to be working when I use the 'Upload new version' button to add a new version of an existing download. Is this meant to work too?
Dmacleo
this (v 1.1.0) is preventing actual topic creation for the category. disable hook, topic is created. have not yet been able to rule out possibility of conflict with Shoutbox Extender though, although extender was set to NOT create a shout from that forum section. Michael.J
Doesn't seem to be working when I use the 'Upload new version' button to add a new version of an existing download. Is this meant to work too? I override the topic creation function in Downloads, if that's not called for upload new version then I'm afriad it's not possible. I'll look next version if there is a hook point that will work for upload new version. this (v 1.1.0) is preventing actual topic creation for the category. disable hook, topic is created. have not yet been able to rule out possibility of conflict with Shoutbox Extender though, although extender was set to NOT create a shout from that forum section. Try disabling either hook, if still a problem then I'll take a closer look.

MadMaddox
Im afraid i can confirm this problem still exists: "This is a great hook ,but when the hook is enabled it will post not a support topic after adding a download. When i disabled the hook i must adding the same download again for the support topic." I have disabled ALL hooks and only turned on the shoutbox and this hook. Then went and created a new item. nothing posted to forum. removed this hook, created a new item and voila. thread created. im on 3.4.6 should it matter. :)

PatrickRQ
By the way, I am not sure if that might be issue or what. I have edited file, shout has been posted. I deleted the shout and tried to edit file again, any further time I edit the same file the shout is not being posted. Is there any limit around?
