Nuclear General
File Name: (NG33) Global Ads File Submitter: Nuclear General File Submitted: 04 Sep 2012 File Category: Integration This Application will show ads all around your IP.Board with support for Google, Yahoo, Widget Bucks, and other third party advert companies. It's taken me awhile to get an updated version out, but I have finally gotten some time to work on it and get it upgraded for IP.Board 3.3.x. The application currently works with all IPS products, IP.Board, IP.Blog, IP.Calendar, IP.Chat, IP.Downloads, IP.Gallery, & IP.Nexus. It also works with the Calssifieds Systems by AndyMillne, Shoutbox by Michael McCune, the Trader Feedback System by Silvester Web Designs, Tracker, Tutorials by Michael McCune, and (M33) Videos System by Michael (DevFuse). I do plan adding additional apps to the supported apps list sometime soon. Kurt De Pauw
I'm sorry, but what is the huge difference between "(DP32) Advanced Adverts 1.2.1" , and why all the extra costs for the additional apps ? It's very pricy
Aussie Cable
I like this idea, however to have this plastered all over my site, is the deal closer for me
Nuclear General
I like this idea, however to have this plastered all over my site, is the deal closer for me That can be removed by a setting. There is one for every location in the mod. The text can also be changed to whatever you want it to be. I have also changed the prices; Main application is now $25 and addons are $5. Differences between my mod and DawPi's, mine is for adverts such as Google, Yahoo, etc. I also plan on adding support for Banner Images. My application also supports showing ads after a select amount of posts in a topic; in which DawPi's does not. You can also show ads in just the first post of a topic. DawPi's does not. His only shows above the topic, and above or below fast reply. Mine does that too and then some. I am also going to add support for allowing your members to add their own adverts to their respective topics, blogs (main page, entries, categories), their respective downloads, respective gallery images, respective tutorials, and respective videos. In which you can specify which groups have that permission to do so. Does this clarify your question Kurt? Regards, -Don :)
WestTac1
I can't seem to find the add-on for -Calypso-'s iAdvertisement System support, or banner support. Are those available?
Nuclear General
I do believe I still have the old addon file for Calypso's iAdvertisement System for my Global Ads mod. Also replied to your PM. -Don :)
Dr Drake Ramoray
Does work ok with IP.Board 3.4.1 ?
Nuclear General
I have yet to test it with 3.4.x but it should work just fine. I have been extremely busy with my personal life the last 2 months and have not had enough time to do testing or any upgrade routines for 3.4.x. It should still function as expected though. -Don :)

TracyIsland
Hey Don, I am thinking about buying this app in order to display ads in Andy's Classified application, in the sidebar, below his list of categories. Since I will only be offering the classifieds to our premium members who pay outside of the forum, I don't need to have Nexus. Do I need Nexus for the Global Ads? And is this application only for google ads or can someone submit an ad, say a surfboard manufacturer, so that it will display in the Classifieds sidebar? I realize I will need the Global Ads Classified add on but I'm just not clear on how this app really works. Thanks Brian
Nuclear General
No, you will not need Nexus, but how ever you have your customers pay for the Global Ads is up to you. My app does not have built in functionality for taking payments at the moment. At the moment, the current version of Global Ads does not have the member side built in for allowing your users to ad their own advert code and it only supports the admin for adding Google code or any other advert company code. The version that currently supports it is 2.2.0 and that is on my site only for testing purposes. So if you have an account on my site at Tiberium Studios you can test it out from the member side to see how it works and what it will look like. I'm still trying to develop the part where the member can add their own advert code other than Google. Right now it won't actually parse other ad code because it purifies the code. So I need to make a work around for it on the members side. As for how the app works, it displays Google and any other ad company code across the forums globally anywhere the app has functionality. There are settings for every location in the app and in the new 2.2.0 version, you can ban certain members if they abuse the system in any way. You can also choose which applications the member can add adverts to show in along with what ad codes they can add. So far, only Google has been implemented, but I also plan implementing Kontera ads for use in their topics and Blog posts. There will also be mobile skin support for Google ads only at the moment, for both admin and member side. As for your question about submitting an ad such as a surfboard manufacturer, that isn't possible with the app. It's mainly built around adverts and advert code. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :) -Don ^_^
craigspc
Hi, This might be a really silly question, but I've never purchased an add-on or mod that has a renewal before... Is the renewal only required for updates? Or does it mean that I have to keep renewing every 6 months in order to continue using the product? I can't say that I've ever earned a great deal via adsense before, so while I'm really interested in purchasing this mod in an attempt to see if I can change that - I'm not sure whether I need to calculate the cost of renewing the mod (plus each of the add-ons) when making my purchase decision. Regards, Craig.
craigspc
I would be really grateful if you could help with my question from a few days ago. I'm very interested in placing an order Thanks. Craig.
Nuclear General
Hello, Sorry for a late reply. Been busy with work lately. With the renewal, you have to renew every 6 months in order to keep getting updates. You get unlimited updates within the 6 month period, but if it expires, you can't get updates. Hope this helps answer your question. Regards, -Don
Maksim
How is your system better or what are the tangible benefits to paying for your ad system if we already have nexus?

MOC
- Currently IPB ACP has global ad code fields. What does this do better or differently? - Does this allow me to insert 300x250 or 160x600 ads on, say Gallery sidebar? Profile sidebar? Those areas are currently not covered by IPB's global ad options. - Do I need to get something like "Global Sidebar" to make that work? Is this compatible with that? - Does this work with all third party ad code? I use a different less known provider. - Does this allow me to place the ad code on any page without having to use code or a difficult method? Nuclear General
Hello, Yes it is possible. I have just checked my template bit and have it setup wrong. For a quick fix, please go to ACP -> Look & Feel -> Skin Templates -> Select Skin -> skin_ng30globalads -> hookTopicGlobalAds4_Right_2 Find: <td align="center" valign="top" width="10%" nowrap="nowrap"> Replace with: <td align="top" valign="top" width="10%"> The nowrap code was removed because I have been fiddling with my app the few weeks getting it upgraded for 3.4 and keeping it compatible with 3.3, and have noticed the nowrap causes some issues. But anywho... replacing the code with the new one should fix your issue. :) If you still have issues, please do not hesitate to ask. :) Regards, -Donald :)
