I recently uninstalled (files still on server) previous tracker.
would this count as upgrade or fresh install?
thinking I should delete all tracker files, remove any DB entries (I have nothing that needs to carry over) and treat as fresh install.
that sound plausible?

Delete the existing application files and then treat it as a fresh installation. That should work fine.

I deleted before I uploaded the files. The upload then puts something back there and I got a warning to delete (which I did) and it updated smoothly.

Moderation tools have stopped working (already reported in Tracker) but other than that everything went smooth :)

Does this mean i should delete all files from folder tracker on my server FTP and then upload the files?

That is correct.

The files we put back run a series of queries to update the App information with the new location etc. Unfortunately it is a needed step. Once that has been done it will ask you to remove the files.

What's the deal with the new Tracker forum? www.ipbtracker.com? Should bugs reported only there?

Upgrade went smoothly.

We'll be using that Forum and Tracker full-time when 2.1.0 is released, but yes, it would be a good idea to open new bug reports there.

Is it still a IPS managed project, ore is it given away like subscription manager and the shoutbox?

It's now a community-managed project. As noted in the description, the current developer team is stoo2000, myself, peaderfi, and rsyvarth.

so far only thing I see in ACP for errors is db checker says this:

IP_tracker_module_custom

ALTER TABLE IP_tracker_module_custom ADD position int(11) DEFAULT NULL;

ALTER TABLE IP_tracker_module_custom ADD projects text;

ALTER TABLE IP_tracker_module_custom ADD custom_perms text;

searched tracker real quick did not see it mentioned.
letting system fix itself seems to work too.
now I did forget to check DB to make sure all old tables got removed during uninstall process so its very possible this is related to prior version.

starting new issue gives this though:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'showEditOptions' in public_html/forums/cache/skin_cache/cacheid_87/skin_tracker_post.php on line 112

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/forums/cache/skin_cache/cacheid_87/skin_tracker_post.php:112) in /public_html/forums/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 114

going to try full recache again

is there any other settings for moderators to move the topic issue within the tracker but different subforum? because when I view the topic and click "Show moderation tools" nothing happens except the scrollup.

That's a bug in beta 4 that we will be addressing.

are bugs we entered into tracker here prior to all the swapover going to be copied over or do we need to join another site and repost them?

We'll still go through the Tracker here, it will stay open until we reach a stable release. However due to a limitation in IP.Content, we're unable to update Tracker reports here, this is why the category has been made read-only. If you would like to re-post your bug reports on our own site, that's not a problem, just mention that it's a C+P from this site.
