Doubt about license

In most cases, critical security patches are provided to all users, regardless of license status. However, general product updates require an active license.

It doesn't look like you can even download anything with an expired license either?

Access to the latest version of the product requires an active license. However, you can still access downloads in the IPS marketplace under most license situations. If you have any specific questions, email accounts@invisionpower.com :)

Can you confirm that please? I've read at least half a dozen threads on here where people (clients, not staff) say that access to the marketplace is only available with an active license. (However, one of those also said if you don't keep renewing, your site would be shut down, and I know that's not correct).

You can still download from the marketplace if you allow your license to expire - you just can't view the support topics. Is that right?
