In the 'Header Navigation Menus' I would like to be able to have some on the left hand side (as it is now) and others on the right. Have a look at Pock! for an exmaple of what I would like to have shown.

Thanks,
Larry

this system isn't currently setup to do something like that, but if enough members wish that flexibility I could add it in ...

with that said .. if you wish to get your copy to do something like that...you can achieve this with a small modification to the header_menus template ..

find:

<ul id="header_menu_bar" class="ipsList_inline left">

and change to:

<ul id="header_menu_bar" class="ipsList_inline">

then find:

<if test="leftOpen:|:$menuitem['promenu_left_open'] == 1">left<else /> right</if>_open

and change to:

<if test="leftOpen:|:$menuitem['promenu_left_open'] == 1">left<else /> right</if>_open<if test="isactive:|:$menuitem['promenu_id'] == {MENU ID TO GO RIGHT}"> right<else /> left</if>

replacing {MENU ID TO GO RIGHT} with the menu ID if you desire more than one menu:

<if test="leftOpen:|:$menuitem['promenu_left_open'] == 1">left<else /> right</if>_open<if test="isactive:|:$menuitem['promenu_id'] == {MENU ID 1 TO GO RIGHT} OR $menuitem['promenu_id'] == {MENU ID 2 TO GO RIGHT}"> right<else /> left</if>

you can even reverse that

<if test="leftOpen:|:$menuitem['promenu_left_open'] == 1">left<else /> right</if>_open<if test="isactive:|:$menuitem['promenu_id'] != {MENU ID 1 TO GO RIGHT} OR $menuitem['promenu_id'] != {MENU ID 2 TO GO RIGHT}"> left<else /> right</if>

your choice..

need any other assistance just let me know

Thanks for the code but it would be easier to just mangle the menu as source, as it is now, was hoping to have it done within the system without hacking.

No worries, will stick with my emplate bit approach.

altering a template bit isn't hacking .. altering source code .. now that would be considered hacking .. the template bits are designed for alterations to suit the needs of the user..its why it has a revert option

Me I am a coder not a hacker, when it comes to templating/grafkicks I am definitely a hacker

just an FYI .. the 1.x.x has limited support, and hasn't near the features the 2.x.x series contains

No problem.

TBH I'm getting frustrated with all the incompatible upgrades by IPB, I'm not a coder (in fact I'm totally useless) so when an upgrade does appear any Hooks installed no longer work and my custom skin needs re-jigging, it's all a big headache to me.
I won't be upgrading to 3.3.x in the near future.

Does anyone have an idea why my 'Easy Pages' isn't showing up in the application dropdown when I am creating a new MenuItem? It shows all my other applications but not Easy Pages.

this is the replacement templates for the primary menus that will be in the next release .. it will address the z-index issue in the current version .. this is for those wanting to resolve that issue now, w/o having to wait for the upgrade to be released.

I have a little issue with footer menu since your last version. After upgrade, it is showing up like this the attache image. How can I fix it?

Thank you!

Steph

I would have to look at it specifically to tell for sure..but if I had to venture a guess its most likely something I changed in the main style .. I am planning on putting out an upgrade today .. which I am doing some style changes .. and it could resolve your current issue..

if this issue still persists after upgrade pm me and we'll have a look
